WilliamG and his cohorts however found him quickly and now we announce their prizes.

We thought we were sooo sly, but you guys proved how annoyingly quick you can be. Waldo was hiding in the last image of The Auto Insider's hilariously headlined Brilliance Auto "Seeking Development With Mutual Benefit and Win-Win". Next time we do this we'll have to really work hard on our Waldo camouflaging skills. In any case, considering we've got plenty of goods to go around, we're going to hand out prizes to the first three valid submissions. All right now, let's tell em what they've won!

WilliamG came dangerously close to disqualifying himself by double posting, but since he didn't do it maliciously (or with the proper key words the first time) we have to hand over the grand prize to him. In only a half hour he managed to find Waldo and as a reward we're giving him a brand new, still in the packaging Geely tea set from the 2008 Detroit Auto Show.

The next valid entry came a few moments after WilliamG's submission, from camb6ell, who will receive a reward as a result of his sleuthing a commemorative Saab 92 scale model in a decorative casing. This one wasn't from the auto show specifically, but we've been waiting for a chance to give it away.

Finally, our third place winner is nairdasti and for his hunt will be rewarded with a wind up or car-chargeable LED flashlight and wearable USB thumb drive.

Our winners should shoot me an email at ben@jalopnik.com with their mailing address so we can get all those fabulous prizes out right away. Congrats to the winners, phooey to all of you who are way faster than we thought you'd be, and next time we'll make it way, way harder.

<![CDATA[Reminder: GM-Chrysler Merger Mashup Photochop Contest]]> Just a reminder boys and girls — you only have until 12:01 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 to get your best submissions in to us in the GM-Chrysler Merger Mashup p-chop contest. Slap 'em into either the comments on the original post or e-mail us at autoinsider@jalopnik.com for the “GM-Chrysler Merger Mashup Photoshop Contest”. Now, get out there and Photoshop us some crazy Monte Chargers and Corvipers or whatever for your chance to win the XBOX 360 game and a copy of the 10th season of Top Gear — and remember, as always, that standard contest rules apply. Oh, and that entry above? We're calling that the 300Camino!

Some say he has a tattoo of a Saleen S7 on his rear end. Others tell us he was born with a penchant for oil rather than his mum's milk. All we know is he's called the Auto Insider and he's always ready to provide the scoop from the other side of Eight Mile.

<![CDATA[Jalopnik Photochop Contest: GM-Chrysler Merger Mashup!]]> All this talk about a GM-Chrysler merger has caused us to think; What if, instead of loan guarantees from the feds back in 1979, Chrysler had approached GM and asked them to be their angel of deliverance. What would an alternate universe be like if GM and Chrysler were already merged? Would the automotive landscape be the same? Or would it thrive with Plymiac Azbrings and Dodgy Challamaros? Maybe a Town & Camino or two? We don't know — but after the GEM mashup last month and the SLR Guy back in June — we know your creativity knows no bounds. So grab your digital #2 pencils and fire up Photoshop because we’re challenging YOU to create this alternate universe. Give us your best creations because we’re giving away a copy of Baja: Edge of Control for XBOX 360 and the 10th season of Top Gear from iTunes to the most creative, awe-inspiring General Mopar creation out there. And no, we don't mean creating your own lineup — we've already done that. Let's give you an example — hit the jump for all of the details and for our own mashup — the Challamaro — to show you what we mean.

Submit entries either in the comments section below or to autoinsider@jalopnik.com and please use the subject line “GM-Chrysler Mashup Photoshop Contest." Make sure to name your entry something unique so we can keep them all straight. As always, standard contest rules apply and submissions will be accepted until Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at 12:01 AM so we can vote for the winner later this week.

And oh yeah, "The Challamaro" — that's right below.
Good luck to all you ‘choppers!

<![CDATA[Redesign The Scion Hako Concept - Win Some Scion Hats]]> To say the Scion Hako Concept went over poorly with the Jalopnik staff would be something of an understatement. Every time we checked the front page we'd recoil in horror as the Hako scrolled past on the screen. It became the generic stake by which other cars were measured. "At least it's not the Hako" was heard more than once. Now, considering the depth of photochopping skill we see from Chrysler here on a daily basis, we're betting you guys can do better than the awkward and boxy "American vintage style" Scion touted at the New York Auto Show.

Instead of being only a contest for Photoshop whiz kids, for this one, we'll be giving bonus points to those who use the crudest software drawing package. If you send us a design using ASCII, you've got a better chance at winning than the guy using MSPaint who has a leg up on the guy using Photoshop. This is not to say the people using P-Shop can't win. Perhaps he or she uses a design completely consisting of a mosaic of kittens duplicated with the stamp tool. Be creative, be inventive, be original, and use curves, heavens knows Scion didn't. Send us your submissions via a post on this thread, or directly to myself at the address on the sidebar by Wednesday of next week. We'll cull the initial entries and let you all vote on the winner, then that lucky artist will see both of those sweet Scion hats arriving by mail for the efforts. Good luck, and may the best crappiest design win.
