I've always appreciated the look of the current-gen IS, and I imagine it would like mighty good as a coupe. Although I'd definitely have to have the 350 model. or the F.
But then that said, I don't know if I could actually bring myself to actually take the plunge and become a Lexus owner. I mean, I like a fun game of golf with the mates as much as the next guy, and vanilla ice cream is ok once in a while, but...
@Ambiguously Unfunny Syrax: To this day, the older one is the tightest-handling car I've ever driven. Someone is trying to convince me it's a bad idea, and I should get something like a Volvo 850 instead, but I don't think that's going to stop me.
@A strolling player got Singofingered: Tell them this: As bland as the IS looks, at the end of the day you have a RWD inline-6 with great aftermarket possibilities. They'll reply with auto vs. manual, AWD 850R. I'm still working on a reply to that one.
@Ambiguously Unfunny Syrax: The IS was available with a five-speed manual from 2002 forward. As far as I can tell, the 850R was only available with an automatic. And rear-drive is more fun. Now to get her over her irrational hatred of Japanese cars...
@A strolling player got Singofingered: Out of the US the 850R came with a 5speed and Torsen, with additional 10hp, now up to 250. And about the hatred:
@Ambiguously Unfunny Syrax: Your arguments are impossible to deny. I'd have a hard time saying no to a five-speed 850R, even though all-wheel-drive is completely unnecessary in a place it never snows.
The way they got flamed for their halo-car, they'll never tell Jalopnik anything.
They're probably like: "Don't tel them sh*t! If we don't have a model out in a year they'll start calling us vaporware producers. Anyway, everyone on that site calls us an appliance manufacturer!"
@Alfisted: YouTube videos can be embedded by simply cutting and pasting their url into your post, no special syntax required. I try to put them on their own line with a carriage return before and after it, just to be on the safe side...

Better than the sedan IMO. The same for the M3. Infiniti needs to step up. The 5.0 in the FX would do.

I must disagree about the M3, tough. I like the looks of the M3 sedan much better.

It was a typo Ray, don't swing the banhammer- even if Pete is egging you on to do so.

Curse you, no preview button. Anyone care to provide the syntax for embedding video?

Now if only images were that simple!
