    I used to drive a Peugeot 505, and the retards at the Colorado air quality test assumed it was an FWD - fucking dipshits drove my car right off the rollers into a the fan which pumped air into the engine.


    No major damage, but I still wanted to kill a few work-release idiots.

    Sorry Jalopnik, the first two versions of this post were WAY better than this one. I think there is a finite amount of automotive fail out there right now, and and this post demonstrates that quite well.


    I'm sorry, but an (admittedly ghastly) hood scoop on an otherwise extremely well done Audi is hardly a you're doing it wrong. At least it's not made out of plywood or something. The Hummer with matching Segway is sweet too.

    @DWBF1: Are we looking at the same Audi? Whoever perpetrated that horrid aesthetic offense (trust me, the hood scoop is the least of it) upon a poor innocent Audi should be permanently tattooed with Tammy Faye Bakker makeup and handcuffed at all times when in public, so they can't use their hands to conceal their shame.

    I have done the old drive over the curb thing before. I did mine in an old Subaru and just kept on going. I guess RX8s are not built for that sort of thing.

    @joshman: I did that with a snowbank (about 2' high at the edge of a partly-plowed empty parking lot) about a week after I bought my former Impreza in 2004. I didn't think it was frozen solid, so I was given quite a start. Still, I kept going.

    Some of those were pretty cool. The Camry offroader and the Winnie-the-Pooh donk made me smile.


    Here's a couple I've posted before. 800lbs of lumber in my car (it's not obvious, but my stiff and progressive Eibach springs did a great job keeping me from bottoming out the rear). Don't try this at home.

    @SirNotAppearing: Trust me, Plywood Jetta was running through my mind while I loaded my car in the Lowe's parking lot. I finished, stepped back, took a look, and said "Maybe I should wait for the rental truck to return. Nah."


    I've done several other loads like that, with pavers and 80# bags of concrete--but that one was the most photogenic and poorly balanced.

    @Ash78: i don't have the picture to prove it :P but i once fit two doors in my mazda3 and closed the hatch !

    it's a great feat coming from a guy who wouldn't allow food/drink in his car ! (even groceries go in the trunk)

    @Ash78: I've got a fuzzy cell picture somewhere of my old Saturn SL1 loaded up with 25 bags of mulch. Instant lowered ride, and I left sparks a few times on that trip, and now I tend to rent the Home Depot truck for $20 instead.

    @c0de: I've got a picture of a loveseat inside of my xB, hatch closed and all. I also recently had to haul a stack of pallets between buildingd at work.


    I love hatches/wagons.


    Last week, I had the xB loaded down with nearly 500# of juice (I do R&D work at a major juice company). It was riding pretty low at that point. Not on the bumpstops, but damn close.

    @TV's Paul Y.: If I was the boss on that jobsite, I'd have fired all seven of them on the spot. Especially considering that the Matsuka should have enough lift to make it up to the platform.
