I think Wes just needs to get laid, this write up is a lil wonky and harsh, kind of like masturbating.

Does it still make that weird exhaust note? I find it weird and slightly disturbing to hear Infinissans motoring by making a gentle moaning.

I suppose this note is the result of thousands of hours of research into what makes an aurally pleasing exhaust note.

Oh, nice review, but you don't need to go all Elsa Koch on the fatties.

Wes, you perfectly captured my problem with the G...all of them, not just the convertible.

They're overwhelmingly competent, but lack the awesome that comes with a car.

It's the golden retriever or labrador effect. They're great dogs, which is why they're so popular...but it seems like everyone's got one.

Nice review, Wes. Definitely some of your better work. And you managed to make me miss California in a way I haven't missed it in a while. Those roads up around Malibu and into Ventura county can be pretty fun.

I do take issue with the BMW 335i slam, though. It's grown on me, especially the 335. That ass end isn't as objectionable as I first thought.

Fine, I'll just come out and say it. I like the 335i and I have it pretty high up on my list of "practical" cars. There. I will probably be dragged into the central square and pelted with rotten tomatoes, but I can no longer hide my desire for that car.

Are hard top convertibles dead yet?

They all kinda look the same, and that's not good. This looks like a better looking G6 hard top conv, which isn't good.

The regular coupe is much better looking. Same with the 335 (which I think is better looking than the G as well).

What's the sticker on this? Does is still undercut a similar BMW by nearly 10K?

    @rlj676-Carbon Footprint Size - Clownshoe:

    Absolutely.

The most expensice G right now is the AWD at $38k, with no pricing on the convertible.

A base 328i convertible MSRP with NO options is $45,900.
That's bottom of the line BMW, too.

In the US. In Europe I think you can get a 301 or something with a .1 liter diesel.

    Nice, really enjoyed the write-up!
I've been a fan of the G coupe series for a while now. I really like how they finally realized that in order to hear your sound system while driving in a convertible there has to be speakers in the headrest. Personally, I've never liked Bose speakers (No highs or lows it must be Bose) but I'm sure you can at least hear it with the top down.

    Mmmmm breakfast stk.

A Wes Siler: "..Pasty, malnourished, under-exercised East Coasters, we prefer to suffer for our art instead of having the easy life delivered to us on a golden platter..." And there it is. Now I understand your affinity to the German machines.

    MACH SCHNELL!!!

But seriously. You don't need to torture yourself for a fun car. This little Infiniti is great. Ask anyone who owns one. They really ARE that flexible. I do think that they are a good performance buy too.

And Wes, you may want to consider some counseling.
