    I mean the idea of UK border crossing police actually coming out of their little warm cubbyholes, into the rain and exerting energy?

    ...So I've gathered, what with CCTV monitoring every square foot of public space in all of the big cities, and radar w/cameras on the motorways. I won't even broach the subject of point-blank shootings on the Tube at rush hour...
