i hope, that if one day i should ever stray from the flock and be seen in something like this, that my fellow jalopnikonites would promptly dispatch me.

Oh, and I wouldn't mind one of these little pod cars/blimps, as long as the radio plays real music and it comes with a real engine that burns real dino juice rather than electrons (which everyone knows are created by witchcraft).
Good luck keeping your shiny white futuristic city clean. I'm typing this on an old iBook G4 which has all kinds of smudges and stains on the white case.
I swear I'm not a hipster douchebag, I'm just inept when it comes to getting rid of spyware and I got a student discount. My Mac even came with a 20GB iPod, which is still working fine after 4 years. Not that I would buy another Mac product; I think my next computer will be a Windows/Linux dual-boot machine, maybe handbuilt.
@Ȁsh67: Maybe I'll get one of those if I need another laptop. I know that Apple and Dell both have terrible cotomer sevis, so maybe it's time to welcome our Chinese overlords. While the iBook hasn't broken in 4 years (beyond cosmetic damage), I had to replace the transformer brick to the tune of $70, only a few months after the warranty ran out. Soon the harddrive will fill up and I will need a machine to run engineering design software on, so we'll see.
Nice, simple animation. But hardly a suggestion of what Apple might actually do if it was to approach the car business. There are thousands of these fanboy mockups for dreamed of products, most of which bear little resemblance to what Apple actually produces.
Should I blame GM for what any mullethead does to a Camaro?
One thing Apple has managed to do quite well is the human factors engineering, so their products can be nearly intuitive to use and to learn the intricacies of their operation. And Apple has done a bit of work with with some auto manufacturers.
Hey, if the whole rest of the world turns to this kinda "life", I propose we build Jaloplantis and live there for the rest of our, and our descendents' lives with Corvettes, Camaros, R8s, V12 Italian family cars, V8olvo wagons, worship at the Altar of Murilee, race in $500 rustbuckets on weekends, and "work" everyday, and rather than the bell to call of work, we'll use COTD.
@zeeboid: Apple: Because paying $2700 for a $1099 PC with a diffrent operating system, a lexus badge, and a fuckload of SMUG to go with it is totally worth it.
@zeeboid: I'm not a Mac lover, but there's something to be said for their operating system, handsome looks, and (relative) freedom from viruses and Microsoft.
@zeeboid: Antivirus programs on the Mac effectively seek out and destroy viruses that won't affect your operating system but could be passed on to Windows-using friends. The capability is there should something malicious come about, but it hasn't yet--there have been proofs of concept, but no public malicious viruses.
And guess what? Check your facts. Go find a Mac, spec an equivalent PC, and we'll talk.
