The smart money says this is either the new Kia Spectra or the Hyundai i30 sedan, which shares components with the C'eed. If this is the new 2010 Kia Spectra — it definitely is a more angular look for the curvy Kia brand. One more picture below the jump.

<![CDATA[Aussies Declare Hyundai i30 the Greenest Green Greenie in All the Land]]>
It seems that in the Land Down Under the Trev has quite a bit of work ahead of itself. The Hyundai i30 was recently crowned the greenest mobile in all the land, in addition to the overall 2007 Car of the Year in Oz by carsguide. Wait a second! The greenest car in Australia isn't a hybrid?

Negative. But who needs a hybrid when you have an i30 with a 1.6-liter turbo diesel that is reportedly capable going 62 miles on 1.23 gallons of fuel? Another big factor in the selection process that eliminated all of the hybrids was simple economics. The judges smacked them down for having high initial cost premiums, especially compared to the $21,490 i30 price tag, which is $16,000 cheaper than the Prius. [TH]

<![CDATA[2008 Hyundai i30]]> Despite the fact the US won't be getting the 2008 Hyundai i30 and that it's already been revealed, it still appears the Korean automaker's spending some time getting some testing miles in on these shores with their newest little family hatch. The i30 shares some mechanical components with the Kia cee'd — but as you can can't see, it should look a wee bit different due to prodigious use of dissimilar body panels. OK, that's a lie — it looks exactly like the cee'd — but whatevs. Many thanks to Jalopnik reader Chris for snagging these shots out in Colorado.

<![CDATA[Geneva Pre-Show: Hyundai Arnejs i30 Compact Hatch Makes An Early Entrance]]> Hyundai's been planning an exclusive press presentation of the European developed i30 compact hatch at the Four Seasons Hotel in Geneva one day before the Geneva Show media days begin. Well now the swanky soiree may be a little less swank, as a number of fan sites around the net seem to have prematurely shot their load of pictures onto their forum pages. We don't have know much else about the i30 other than it'll be powered by the same engines running under the hood of it's its cross-brand cousin, the Kia Cee'd. So that includes a 1.4-liter gas engine with 109 hp, a 1.6-liter gas engine with 122 hp and a 2.0-liter gas engine with 143 hp in addition to three more diesels (a 1.6-liter CRDi at 90 hp and 115 hp and a big ol' 2.0-liter CRDi running at 140 hp). As for the design? It looks a lot like a rebadged, remasked Kia Cee'd than anything close to a production version of the Arnejs concept from last year.
