"The H4 CUV is expected to be the production version of the HX Concept, which the Hummer off-roading community has been begging for since its unveiling."
I call BS on this. As if there is such thing as a "Hummer off-roading community." Everybody knows that Hummers don't really ever go off-road.
As much as the Hummer brand has come to be synonymous with conspicuous consumption, environmental ignominy, and general douchery, that H4 concept is one sexy beast.
Even if this gets built to look just like the concept, and assembled to a high standard, I don't know that they'll find much of an American audience. There is an inherent contradiction in trying to sell a Chinese car to the kind of person who wants to buy a Hummer.
@smalleyxb122: Isn't that the same contradiction on which WalMart's business model is based? They make this thing cheap and shiny enough, it will find buyers.

I've always wanted to build one like that - lifted, knobby tyres, skid plates...
