    Luke Wilcox should be put in charge of Mad Max 1.5 (the one which should have been between The Road Warrior and Mad Max), immediately.

    This guy knows what automotive filming is about, and how to do it.

    Furthermore, this is the perfect example of why it's nice to have the beater car you want. You can screw with it 4 million different ways, and if you fuck up, hey, initial investment was small and the fun payout was high.

    Win.

    Plus, you go find another one, as you now have the parts/experience.

    @LuciferV8: Kinda looks like Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area outside of Pismo Beach in Central California.

    @LuciferV8: No front plate, water in the background...my guess is Silver Lake sand dunes on the West coast of Michigan.

    Haven't watched the vid, yet, but I can say, the old Real-Time 4WD tall wagons were amazing in deep snow.

    Nothing like driving a Grand Cherokee with QuadraTrac, good BFG A/T's, oversized, and having to take two runs at an unplowed "street" when the Honda manages it in one.

    Mass is a bad thing in some sit-chi-ations.

    As kick-to-the-jaw awesome as the Group B beasts were, the rear-drive machinery that preceded them (Escort RS, Ascona 400, 131 Abarth, Sunbeam Lotus, et al) were just as rad, IMO. #kenblock

    Excellent vid! How did they get a UK plated Escort Mk2 in the states though?

    Even with no sound (at work) I can still quite clearly hear what that engine sounds like at full chat in my head... Nothing sounds quite like a rallyed up Escort!

    I watched Ken mash this car into the trees at the rally in Quebec this year. First stage wamm-o! He was favored to win the weekend. It was really sad to see him out. The car looked spectacular though. #kenblock

    I just quit my job. There are far more fun things in life!! Holy Popeye arms! I'm torn between wanting to have seen a trully original rally or the fun squared they are having with the updated sequential box #kenblock
