"While most of the body on this mule is non-production, this front end may actually be close to the final design of the nose we see on the production CUV."

FAIL. The obsession with godawful front clips are why I did not replace my Accord with another Honda.

If this means they kill the Pilot, then I'll get behind it.

There's no way it'll succeed when Toyota's got it beat on sheer ugliness.

That's a great-looking wagon. It's not an Accord, however. It's far more special, necessitating a special badge, some interior refinements, a turbo option and a $7K boost in sticker price. Gee, thanks, Honda.

The age of the his-and-her crossover lineup continues...

Toyota already had a perfectly good Camry-based crossover-wagon thingy...the Highlander.

But they went and took a bicycle pump to it and now it looks like Dizzy Gillespie's cheeks.

So they had to build a more girly wagon, hence the Venza.

Ditto the Pilot; it looks like a truck, smells like a truck, but brother...you know. The thing is, you look at Honda's JDM line, there are like 14 crossovers, not including kei cars. Are they pluckin' one of them for the US?

What's wrong with an Accord WAGON?

@bmoredlj: They need more trucks. CAFE.

Never mind that everything Honda builds is unibody and fundamentally FWD. CR-V, Pilot, Ridgeline, and Element are all trucks. As I'm sure this will be.

And since the Alabama plant has recently been cross-tooled to cross-produce the Accord sedan, I'm cross-thinking that Honda's cross-flexibility could mean cross-border cross cross. Cross.

While I normally lament the lack of real wagons, this may have legs.

But the BIG question is "will the bullsh*t CUV moniker mean it's going to cost $5k+ more than the Accord?" (vs the normal wagon premium of $1k-$3k)
