Neil Young is the worst thing that could've ever happened to Crosby Stills and Nash.

Nice car, though. Too bad about the infestation of pesky canuckians under the hood; maybe a spray will get rid of 'em.

I bet the reason they picked this Lincoln was the size needed for the batteries. Whatever they do, It won't fit any cars build post 1986.... time to buy that crappy el dorado caddy coupe and hold on to it.

@ciscokidinsf: The battery pack definitely won't fit in an 86 Eldorado ("Cutlass Calais XL")

@LucidRalphWiley: ummm... any caprice will fit that... they made those through '96

with at least one extra year of the impala... you could also get a RWD brougham edition caddy through like '91 on special order...

    and they *still* make LTDs....

Neil Young is a creative genius, and the best name he can come up with is LincVolt?

I would have called it Voltroln

I applaud the effort, and agree with the assertion that any car can be converted to a series hybrid.

    However....

They will not hit 100 mpg by doing it to that car.

The drag coefficient and rolling resistance will conspire to hold them down in the high 30's MPGe. It just takes to much energy to push a car of that size and shape.

I had a dream once where I opened the hood of my car and Neil Young was where the engine should have been. Pretty much exactly like the above picture.
