Ditch the hood window. It's cheesy on the ZR1, and more so on a pretender to the throne.

I dig the headlight treatment. Chevy should follow suit on that one.

I didn't see anything about fixing the look of the retarded looking taillights, though. They really should do something with those.

It looks sweet. The power is nice, but this is more assuredly not the most cost effective way to get that kind of power out of your new Camaro. The brakes are a worthwhile upgrade, but I'm sure that you could get comparable performance from Baer or Wilwood for a fraction of the price as well.

It's cool that Hennessey spec'd this out. It'll serve as a nice blueprint for the DIY crowd.

If it came down to choosing between this or a GT-R, well I guess I'd just have to pony up for the pony car. But at 700+hp that's one helluva lot of ponies. Maybe "pony car" isn't the right billing anymore.

The chin spoiler really makes the front of this car, gives it a low, puposeful mug that goes with the dark, heavy-browed squint. One tall speedbump will knock its front teeth out, but until then it looks great.

If Cylons drove cars, this would be their ride.

To qualify as a supercar under the HPE banner it can't just go, it has to whoa.

Did John Owens write their press release?

So... when's an LS9-powered G8 going to be released? They could call it the Pontiac GR-8 and have Tony the Tiger as a spokesperson.

@WilliamG.: I heartily approve! Maybe I'm easily amused this early in the morning, but I almost spit bagel out onto my keyboard when I read that.

    Amazing. Simply amazing.

Its less than the ZR1 with the premium package and its probably a much better drive. I'll have to start saving my pennies.

@bzr: I guess he is moving from the MOPAR crowd to the Chevy crowd now. Maybe he assumes they aren't on speaking terms with one another.

A base ZR1 is cheaper than that, assuming you pay MSRP for it at $103,970. I don't understand what type of person would buy this car. The Camaro is manufactured to be a worse car than a Corvette. Putting a larger motor, bigger brakes, a body kit, and "suspension upgrades" will not make it the ZR1. The car is designed to be an affordable car for the masses, not a supercar was designed to take corners. I don't understand the point of tuning cars. The manufacturer built them for their purpose and designed them to do nothing outside of their designs.

I love it, but not for 110k. A standard SS will do just fine for me.
