Swedish newspapers are reporting that Saab is being denied credit by customs, which means that most of their parts supply and many finished cars are embargoed.
/back to the Hennessey (although I prefer Delamain XO)

Low end torque indeed.

Doesn't GM know that in order to keep the bailout money, their executives must only be seen eating gruel, walking to work while at the same time delivering government cheese to the impoverished, and wearing only clothes they were able to barter for extraneous organs?
BTW, that car sounds magnificent.

How many courses in the world are their where a 200+ mph gets to stretch its legs?
That's what cracks me up about cars like the Veyron. Sure, you can go 50 mph faster under ideal conditions with a clean body and a big enough track to wind the car out, but unless you actually have that kind of room (which doesn't tend to exist anywhere in LA or Orange County), then you are no faster than the dude with his Z06, 911 Turbo, or GT-R.
And you paid more than 10 times the price.
For that reason alone, despite the inherent awesomeness of 700, 800, 900, or 1000 hp, and the engineering genius that went into it all, it still amounts to precisely dick (or dicklessness, as the case me be).

I don't begrudge folks cars that can hardly be used close to their limits. There is something to be said for having the best or the most of anything. But I would find it very frustrating to have a car that never came into its own. It would probably be very boring and unsatisfying. Of course, you'll need to loan me your Veyron so I can confirm this theory.

That race track needs a new surface.

That'd be some serious bare-knuckle racin' there - and an excerpt from the new hit movie Keystone Kars.

Me? I like the other kind of Hennessy. It can be a devil, too.

When my cars have too much power in Forza they overwhelm the rest of the car and make it hard to handle. Honestly I think it should be a balance of great power and grip-- the regular ZR1 seems to do that just fine.
But getting into the 700hp range things just start to get silly.
