Is it inspectable? Hahahahahaha. Almost.
For obvious reasons, I love this project. There was one of these behind an apartment house 'round here... I wonder what happened to it?

I'm hoping you're planning on using the engine from the Volvo FH16. I'm not sure the one from the 240 will cut it.

That being said, I maintain that it's not as coastal as Maine. And California doesn't salt the roads half as much, 'cause most of California isn't big on snow.

We used to go party at this one unclaimed chunk of land called the "Clown Spot".
It was so named because the first kids that ventured up the dirt road entry found nothing but a clown mask and a bra in the abandoned utility shed on the property. The logical conclusion was that some kind of clown-fetish rapist took his victims there.
The second logical conclusion was that it'd be a great place to go drink on Friday and Saturday nights once all the parties got shut down down in town.
This would be the place I took 16 people offroading in the family Suburban. This would be the place I managed to hydrolock the engine in my first Jeep, leading to my first summer job as a tire monkey at Goodyear, to which I owe much of my automotive knowledge and experience.
So yeah, fun times to be had up off Summit and Bear Creek Roads.

Great photo work at Lemons from you and your son, BTW.

Another bit of minutia is that that night was when gas jumped from like $1.20/gal to 1.60 or 1.70 for some reason. I remember not being able to much gas for the $10 I had on me.
Of course, I paid 1.65 for gas a little while ago...so I was feeling pretty nostalgic. Definitely miss The Truck, 40 gallon tank and all.
