For me; T1 was awesome, T2 was less gritty, but more watchable and, basically, enjoyable.
T3, I feel, cheapened the franchise and continued a story which didn't need continuing. Also, the switch from D Cameron directing was obvious. It didn't feel like a Terminator film. Just an action adventure.
So Wayne Enterprises creates SkyNet and when it all goes awry, Bruce Wayne assumes a new secret identity under the cover of which he battles to atone himself?
Hope it turns out well, most films with Christian Bale in are prety good. Terminator 1 was brilliant,a modern classic, 2 was borderline, nowhere near as gritty as the first & 3 was just awful.
@layabout: T3 felt more like a pilot episode for a television series about the war between men and the machines. If it had been just that, it would have been pretty good.

Hey, it's not who is underneath, but what he does, that defines him...

Maybe these guys can get us back to the first one as well with Terminator?
This does beg the question, which is better? Terminator I or II?
