    Sure, I find out about this the day after Christmas. At least it's only a few months till my birthday. I'll take mine with the Atlas I6, and see if I can't build a better BMW than the Bavarians have been putting out lately.


    On the other hand, it looks all set up for t-tops, that might call for a wheezing 305.

    So this is part of GM's Phoenix Agenda, pulling itself up from the ashes by selling only the car parts that were built by robots, and leave the labor-expensive part of the assembly to the buyer. Brilliant, shrewd, doomed.


    That doesn't make me not want it, though.

    Mmm...I can see it now: Tubular 4340 chrome-moly front K-member, welded body seams, 12 point roll-cage, IRS, coil-overs all around, strut braces, carbon fiber body panels, lexan front and rear windows, twin-turbocharged LSX at the full 511 c.i. mated up to a TR6060 transmission, 275 slicks all around, carbon fiber racing seats with 6 point harnesses, painted flat black with the jolly roger on each door and flat white straight pipes exiting at the sides...I feel as though I'm leaving something out.
