Just two weeks ago, I was rejoicing over the fact that Bimmer Jesus heard my prayers for a slightly larger version of the BMW 3 Series that is inexplicably called a coupe despite having four doors. The result is the forthcoming 4 Series Gran Coupe.
You know, I consider myself a pretty lucky guy overall. I have this sweet gig at Jalopnik, an awesome dog, and I live in a city where breakfast tacos are readily available. But lately, I can't shake the feeling that something is missing in my life.
The massive and expensive BMW Gran Coupe is about to hit the streets and this red Werkstestwagen (test vehicle) is already soaking up the early spring sun, spotted by a reader in Munich. In a perfect world, it would come with its own little stretch of Autobahn to stretch its legs on.
BMW's new enlarged 6-series/coupified 5-series, the BMW Gran Coupe will officially cost $76,895 including destination charge. That's $16K more than a base Audi A7 and $4,500 more than a Mercedes CLS. This pretty face doesn't come cheap.
