What a cool hobby. What would it be like to do road racing with something like that using more modern motorcycle hardware and say 600cc engines? Body something like this only half-scale?
That looks like way more fun than the law should allow! Gotta make me one of those!!! (Wonders if 'they' (with gumball machines on their roofs) would allow me to drive it to coffee in the mornings)
Hmmm, this gives me an idea. 3-wheelers are classified as motorcycles in my state. Anything less than 50cc doesn't require any type of tag of liscencse. I only have a 10 mile drive to work. I see a homebuilt 3/4 scale Morgan 3-wheeler replica as a great sunny day commuter. 45mph or bust!
I'll get right on this after I finish the other 329 projects that I need to do in my free time.
Mopeds A moped is defined as any motor driven cycle with an engine not exceeding 50 cubic centimeters (3.05 cubic inches).
Mopeds are exempt from the provisions relating to the registration and licensing of motor vehicles.
Rules to operate mopeds on Georgia roads and highways:
Must be 15 years of age and have in their possession a valid driver's license, instructional permit or limited permit. Must wear protective headgear (motorcycle helmet). No tag is required. Every person operating a moped upon a roadway must obey the same traffic laws governing drivers of motor vehicles. May not use limited access highways or other roadways where the minimum speed limit is above 35 mph.
Earlier it defines a motor driven cycle as any vehicle with 3 wheels or less.
