Just visited the site...ATTENTION TO DETAIL, GUYS! If you click on the "Prototypes" and then click on the Beat, on the "Prototype" page, I think someone didn't proofread...

And we wonder why some complain that American car companies don't pay attention to detail?
Maybe GM needs to get out of the automotive business and into software development and website design. At the least it would give them an opportunity to be profitable.
In the UK, and probably most of Europe the Chevy brand means pretty much toilet.
Say Chevrolet to a kid in the street and he'll say Lacetti (the Top Gear Reasonably Priced Car).
Way to squander your brand identity, Chevrolet.
They can't use the Camaro as a Halo car over here because it has no relevance, we didn't have ponycars the first time round. The Corvette was marketed as a standalone here, there was no Chevy prefix to its name.
The only way forward here would be un-Chevify all their Daewoo models and then go on TV with a commercial saying "We're ever so sorry, it's all been a monumental cock-up, we'll not do it again. Here's our new awesome range of cars".
But that'll never happen, and Daewoolets will continue to be bought by the dead or dying.
@Rust-MyEnemy can't grow a beard: Isn't the Chevy/Daewoo Matiz the most prevalent new Chevy on your side of the pond? We don't even see it over here, but we do have the Chevy/Daewoo Aveo. They're really sort of screwing themselves on small car reputation with this. IMHO.
I remember seeing a little article detailing graveyards of old American cars in Europe, and I remember there were a lot of second-gen F-bodies in one of the sites.
I asked flaevor the same, as I had thought that you guys did get them after seeing that.
I do training in Flash, and the integration of Flash Video in the site is really impressive. It's well scripted and stylish, and calls no attention to the web tricks themselves. I'm going to spend more time on it to figure out how to integrate some of these techniques in my classes. Thanks for the tip.

I understand wanting to use the internets to help get the word out about your product, but sometimes these things come off as too strained and, as pointed out, corporate. This is the perfect opportunity for a corporation, like GM, to work with blog sites and fan sites to do essentially this same thing but in a more organic way. Invite the bloggers and fan site owners into the design studios and give them a tour and interviews with design staff. Then let the bloggers and fan site owners go back to their computers and right glowing reviews of what wonderful products are in the pipe and how great the group-think...uh...I mean...creativity at GM is.
If chevy wants to be relevant in Europe I have two suggestions bring the camaro and add two diesels to the engine options a 3.5L 6 cyl. Diesel maybe supplied from BMW and a 2-2.5L Diesel 4 cylinder. Oh and only offer the better suspension and brakes from the SS.
Every German colleague I have shown the Camaro to thinks it looks awesome. It has been a long time since that could be said of a Chevy product over here.
I saw a picture a while back of a graveyard of old Firebirds and Camaros, mostly second-gens, somewhere over in Europe, though I can't remember exactly where it was. Were they sold over there?

You guys didn't get Camaros or Firebirds?

You do see them around, but they're not a part of folk-lore like they should be

It kind of destroys my most well thought out post in a week when I mis-use the English language.

I used to love that show.
The fact that Geordi LaForge hosted it only made it cooler.
