    This is a lot more drastic than the US cuts, from a customer access point of view. Better resole those mukluks, because it's a helluva long walk to Yellowknife to check out the G8 before it's gone.

    @Ash78: Actually I'm expecting little to no impact at all, aside from dealership owners. Most towns of 12,000 people or more that I've seen have a Ford dealership, a Chrysler dealership, a Chevy/Cadillac dealership and a Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealership. Usually the two GM dealerships are within a block of each other.


    Odds are, with the death of Pontiac, they'll just amalgamate the two GM dealers into one. I never really understood that logic in the first place. In my town, the lots are side-by-side, and you'll have lines of GMC trucks parked back-to-back with lines of Chevrolets. If you see one you like on the other side, you need to go find a new sales rep, and start dealing with that dealership instead.

    I don't think I can take a Buick design seriously, but it looks impressive when you imagine it has a BMW badge instead. As much as I dislike the brand, they could've done a lot worse.

    This is a great design IMO. Was less awkward than its intended target, the Lexus ES. Might not spur an instant rush to the Buick dealer, but may be looked back on as an important turning point for the General....

    The ignorance in this post and the comments is amazing. The *reason* this car is "re-badged" is because LaCrosse is a slang term up here for 69'ing. They just give the LaCrosse a different name to avoid embarassement - Something this post and some of the comments can't say they've avoided.
