    You could have a Fred Flintstone version of LeMons with this. First person to make a lap wins.

    A good visual reference for the current state of GM.

    Wandering around downtown Toronto Friday night, I saw a Cutlass sedan (in a very 1970 appropriate shade of yellow-gold) in traffic on Yonge St. It was by far the coolest car I saw all night, even with a Rolls-Royce Phantom passing by a couple minutes later.

    Looks more like an alley than a street, so I think you might be pushing it a bit.

    @Triborough:

    Well, it is a street: it has a name, one way street signs and speed limit. It is clearly maintained by the city. Besides Murilee is never wrong ;-)

    @Triborough: IMHO, if it has a name, it counts.

    You'd be shocked at the 'streets' which are named in the CO high country, or Vegas, for that matter. In Lost Wages, if a road grader went through 20 years ago, and the wind prevents the brush from taking hold, it's likely a named road.

    It's odd to see a stop sign quite literally at the junction of two desert gravel/dust/sand roads while one can still see The Strip.

    @Dwegmull, preview free since March 2009.: ARRG! stupid lack of preview! So for future reference, the hamsters don't allow embedding Google maps into comments...

    @diesel W123's don't die: And if it's that far out, it's fair game regardless, as "Down In The Field". We've had Down In The Woods before, and I'll be submitting another soon.

    Anyone have a picture of an engine lying on a street, to make a companion-piece?

    I have special affection for this model Cutlass because because one passed me once on HWY 400 in Ontario.

    I was going @130MPH, so you can imagine my surprise.

    @Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: My point was more that one does not expect an early '70s lead-sled to have that kind of top-end. It looked awfully sproingy but it was making good time.

    Actually, 1971 and 1972 were virtually interchangable, with the same front bumper, and same body panels, so without anything else to distinguish the two years (like grills, tail lamps, identification) it's almost impossible to tell them apart.
