This thing us supposed to compete with the likes of the G37 and 335 for performance but when it comes down to it, the S60 is just a transverse front wheel driver with optional 4-wheel traction control halidex bullshit. Put rear drive or rear-biased 4wd in the car instead of that halidex crap and then we can talk. #volvos60
@oddseth: I don't know if this will get Ford's RevoKnuckle (or whatever they're calling it) suspension up front (a la Focus RS), but word around town is that, with an LSD, it lets the FWD Focus RS hang with jsut about anything else, handling wise. #volvos60
The pedestrian-avoidance technology has been sourced from the proven excellent application in Red Army tanks. It is especially effective when the pedestrian is carrying shopping bags. #volvos60
@TurboBrick [LIGIER]: It did, but I think it's better-executed on the Volvo than the Buick. That pinch where the line kinks right at the door handle of the Lacrosse is very visually awkward. #volvos60
@bmoreDLJ: The Buick crease was made as a very obvious nod to their classic design element from the 50's. You know, when their current customers bought their first Buicks.
The Volvo line doesn't look bad, but makes me think that 20 years ago that ledge on top of the door was really firm and high (240). Then it started to soften out a bit with S80/S60 and now it's drooping down. You may draw your own anatomical parallels from that. #volvos60
