Damn you Garage 419! You get to have all the fun. Check out this clip of host, Matt Farah, slip sliding a 2009 Audi R8 around the frozen lake during the Lake George Ice Race.

Wert wants us to make a History of the World reference, but we're going to refrain since we're not big fans of Mel Brooks and his brand of slap stick comedy — and we didn't see anything funny about "Hitler on Ice" anyway. But feel free to make your own joke in the comments below.

Garage 419 Catches Clutch Change at 24 Hours of Daytona

The chaps at Garage 419 pulled embed duty at the 24 Hours of Daytona and they've got the behind the behind the scenes look at some of the action of the famed race. At 22 hours in, the top running Farnbacher Loles car had the clutch let go, signaling some unwanted garage time. The GT3 Cup car's team manages a swap in only a half an hour - amazing considering the trans has to come out to get that done. [via Garage419]

The 24 hour endurance race at Daytona is often under-appreciated these days. Once, it was a key race on the international sportscar racing scene. Now? not so much, but it's still a great place to go and hang out if you want to experience some nice machinery in the metal. The guys at Garage419 went down to Daytona to check out the 24 hour race up close and personally. If you've never had the chance to walk around the paddock or the pits at a big race, we definitely recommend doing so. Look! There's Alex Roy's M5... in the infield. No sighting of Patrick Dempsey though.

One of us jumped into the passenger seat of Next New Networks latest car show driven by Matt Farah of the New York Motor Club. Our big boss man went head to head and 'round the ring with the holder of many Polo discount certificates as the two talked new-school Alfa's, love of 'merica and some hatin' on the Caparo T1 and hybrids. Also, Farah made fun of Fast Lane Daily's Derek D. Are those the Detroit Riots in the background? No, wait, that's what they call "Thursday" around Wert's neck of the woods. [Garage419]
