    @theChineyz: My Intrepid's ride was a little floaty, but not enough to make me green (or spruce, if you want to get technical), and my Escort didn't make me blue until it died. I call this myth busted.

    When I lived in Colorado Springs one of my neighbors had one of these, with the diesel engine. It would wake me every day around 6 am when he warmed it up.

    @discontinuuity is once again meme-free: I love how the Humongousness of Ford SUVs is in reverse proportion to the length of the journy the name implies.


    Escape = Run till they stop chasing us... that could be a while = Small SUV.


    Explorer = Don't know when it's going to end = Normal SUV.


    Expedition = Long ass trip but we know where we're going = Big SUV.


    Excursion = Short trip down to the shops = "Holy f*ck that thing's huge!"-UV.

    @theChineyz: Growing up as the oldest of 4 kids, we had a Suburban (GM equivalent) and made full use of it.


    4wd for offroad and snow, lots of towing, and just enough room for 6 people + friends + gear.
