I don't think that I could fit my foot between the elise's brake pedal and "trans tunnel" (I don't know what to call it in this case).

I think these are kinda cool. Not sure if the milling in the pads have any significance though they look like they represent the purpose of each pedal.

@A strolling player: I'm pretty sure the Renault is supposed to be Pause/Stop/Play. Way more clever than Playstation controllers. Plus, the Playstion is an X, not a I I.

@Monkey Bars: This is true, and was my first thought upon seeing it. Wes's caption led my mind astray (as his ass is wont to do).

Besides, the car most suited to the PlayStation controller motif is the Nissan GT-R. #polyphony

Why don't more cars have the gas pedal at the same height as the brake? It's about the only thing I don't like about my wife's Audi. I can heel-toe just fine in the Talon, but I can barely do the bigtoe-pinkytoe thing in the A6, due to the lower and farther away gas pedal.

@Turboner: You're not braking hard enough. When I stand on the brakes on my A4 (like the entry to turn 3 at BIR), the brake and gas pedals line up perfectly. Moderate or "street" braking results in a little more of a reach, but still do-able. Well, it's almost unconscious now...

@r0cket_scientist: ding ding ding! You are correct, sir. The gas should only be touched (and touched somewhat lightly) after the brake is mashed down, to the lower gas pedal makes perfect sense.

@Turboner: Do you have prehensile toes? Really long rather narrow feet, with disproportionately short but very flexible toes? No arch? You might just have ape feet. I couldn't diagnose you without seeing you, but if you can open a door by turning a doorknob with only one foot, then there's a high chance you need a trip to the Yerkes Primate Institute.

@r0cket_scientist: I actually meant the same height as the brake, when applied. Even when really standing on them, the gas pedal seems way too low. It's a trade-off, I wish the Talon had the A6's torque.

I believe #2 is supposed to be the standard PAUSE, STOP, and PLAY buttons that have been used on tape and CD players for decades. A Playstation controller doesn't even have a pause button.

What brand is represented by the logo in picture number 5?

It looks a bit like the OPEC logo, perhaps from another era? If it is, than that is the most clever artist ever. Imagine this, the artist could sell the [insert generic monarch of a small resource rich country] one OPEC logo painting for the office and a bunch for the garages. The only thing he would have to do is to convince the [insert generic monarch of a small resource rich country] that gold chrome or real gold leaf is not necessary and does not need to be added to the artwork.

I really like these... hope the artist does well and can expand the collection to include a Yugo logo.

@Turboner: Well, both of my "projects are going to be scary then! We (my brother and I) bought an '87 Rx-7 FC. The rotary is going into his Bug and the shell will be receiving a LS engine. The bug weighs maybe 1800lbs and getting the engine from a 26-2700 lb car and the rx is getting the engine from a 32-3800 lb car! Nothing better than a good.. I mean great power to weight ratio.

I'll cop to being scared of the 930. A co-worker/LeMons team mate of mine has one that she let me drive.

The turbo lag is terrifying - when you finally get into the boost, it comes on like a crazed serial killer in your bed that you've somehow overlooked until you're just about to fall asleep.

I'd still not mind having one though!
