The company rolled out its all-electric G4e concept concept car in Tokyo, thought it was outshined handily by the new Impreza STI. The small hatch combines underfloor Li-on batteries with seating for five and a relatively meager 124-mile charge range. Sure, the designers got the spacial engineering right, but we get the feeling Soob's rally-spirit heart just isn't in this one.

<![CDATA[ Tokyo Auto Show: Subaru G4e Concept Car ]]> Step one in the Tokyo Auto Show wagon domination plot was the new Subaru WRX Sti, step two was the EXIGA seven-seater concept and now step three is to go small with the Subaru G4e concept hatchback. And not only is this hatchback tiny, it's also big in both green and passenger seating — at least according to the press release from Subie. They claim this little four-door electric car will seat up to five passengers, go 120+ miles per charge and turn water into wine. That's right, it's the JesusHatch. We'll see it in person in just a couple of weeks at its official reveal at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show.
