In reply to Toyota FT-EV II Concept: Weirdo Electric Daily Driver

Are the bladders between the handles in front of the driver and passenger airbags, or do they inflate when you brake to capture energy, or do you rhythmically jerk on the handles to pump them up to pass the time on your commute?

Toyota made and sold hundreds of normal-looking RAV4 EVs a decade ago, I'm not sure why battery has to mean freaky looks now.

A dash mounted gyroscope? I bet I've written 100 letters to Toyota about that, and I see they finally listened.

For EV's to be adopted by anyone but the freaks, it's gonna have to look 100% normal.

    FT-EV = FAIL

Throw a fully-electric drivetrain into a bone-stock looking Camry, it'd sell millions...cause you know, electric grows on trees...fertilized by unicorn farts and puppy dog dreams.

@brake booster by Lucas...I'd better get religion!:
Electricity doesn't grow on trees. However, just the electricity it takes to refine and distribute a gallon of gasoline could send an electric car about 25 miles.

Woody Allen already owns one of these, but it appears he has to be forced to drive it.

If you're gonna make a car that's shaped like a Stormtrooper helmet, it might as well be white. But go with pearl white; That'll add some class.

A two seat bicycle with a basket would be just a practical, but would leave you less open to ridicule.

@jbownsabmw but still wants GM to survive: With some of those tassles on the handles, a bell, and a 7-foot orange flag. And a banana seat.
