Zippy looking. True supercar looks, but short on dinosucking supercar attitude. Supercars are about crazy speed, ostentatiously conspicuous consumption, and slowly baking yourself orange in Monaco. This thing takes care of the orange for you, is somewhat reserved in its attitude vis-a-vis its mission, and despite what will probably be an astronomical purchase price, is probably kind of easy to live with at the pump.

I give it the Quizzical Look of Perplexion.

Why a rotary? I would use something... you know... reliable... and...well... torquey. I would just slap a 2 cylinder diesel up there or a vtwin... I guess they want a massive RPM range for some reason?

@pj134: Light weight and small dimensions. Newer rotaries are much more reliable, but it's not clear if they're using their own design or some version of a Mazda Renesis or ?

@pj134: You've obviously never owned a naturally aspirated rotary. Yeah, you've got to rev to 4K to make power, but a 12A has three moving parts. Three. Not a whole lot to break, there.

@Unevolved has three moving parts.: Interesting, though that still does not explain why they would select a rotary over a diesel.

@cchannel: I agree, I'd have figured a diesel just because they can be optimized to run efficiently at a constant RPM with extremely high reliability.
