    I have to say I've got some beef with the statement, "Part of that awesome will come from the under-development 1.6 liter, direct injection, turbocharged EcoBoost inline-four, a 175 HP, 180 lb-ft version of the 365 HP twin turbo in the Taurus SHO."


    NO, it is NOT a 175HP version of the 365HP TWIN TURBO V6.


    It can borrow technologies from the 365hp twin turbo V6, but it's not a version of it-- it's a completely different motor. The only thing it has in common is being called 'ecoboost' and being direct injected and turbocharged.


    The syntax just doesn't make sense.

    1.6T seems a bit torque-deprived for a truck. I'm not a Fx50 zombie, but a little displacement never hurt something that's supposed to haul things or 'froad.

    Rant On. It is time to stop calling this:


    Plus This:


    ECO-Boost.


    Eco-boost is what you get at Jamba Juice when they put Saw grass + Caffeine in your shake. Stop calling direct injection with a turbo Eco. It's not Eco. It just gets better mileage.
