Interesting and true statistic about the Texas Auto Writers Association: the average member is losing 3.6 inches of penis length due to fatpad and dunlap. #fordf150raptor
@IN THE FACE!: Actually, that isn't the truck from down the street, the one pictured is actually quietly rusting in counsel grove, but there is a similar one on 8th st. just east of Connecticut St. I'll have to find/post a pic of it... #fordf150raptor
I'll never forget the white women of New Mexico faking Texas accents just to seem more affluent. There were also the Hispanic women insisting they were from Spain rather then Mexico.
Sure
Anyway don't ever argue against a Texan, everything is bigger and better there.
I do like some things about Texas, there gun laws are excellent. Especially the one in the state consitution that states that if the Federal Govt pulls the right to bare arms, Texas pulls out of the Union. #fordf150raptor
whatever, I am officially declaring the "Truck of Maryland" to be the Toyota Prius, it can cross paved terrain from D.C. to Seattle while getting 32 smug per mile. #fordf150raptor

@ManicSquirrel wants a Roomba with more torques: Something odd I noticed last month in MD (once you get out west of the Balto-DC corridor) is that the number of lifted pickups is WAY beyond anything I've ever seen down here in Alabama/Tennessee/Georgia. Granted, most of them have farm tags, which I think is just a suburbanite's excuse to spend ten grand on suspension, tires, and exhaust, borrowed against their land which will inevitably be sold a subdivision developer in the next 5 years. #fordf150raptor
@Ash78 isn't really gone, but sorta is: Maryland is a special place in that respect. There are a ton of lifted trucks to the east of the Balto-DC corridor as well (in the SE portion of the state), and quite often they are covered in mud and Prius. #fordf150raptor
I saw one of these in person the other day... Severely disappointed. If your going to make it offroad oriented, at least make the tires fill the fenders well. They need to put some 38's or 40's on there to make it look right. It's such a big truck that anything smaller just doesn't look right. Everything else was an A+ though. That one thing just bugs me, and if I ever buy one, I'll fix it for sure. #fordf150raptor
@pj134: with the amount of travel built into the suspension, I'm not sure they wanted to fill the fenders, you can fill the fenders now problem....off an awesome jump #fordf150raptor

Eww, another 4 door pickup truck. I'd much rather have a Crew Cab Raptor or whatever Ford calls its truck with the space behind the front seats. Just enough space to fit a cooler, a couple bags, and give some recline-ability in case I need to sleep in the truck.
It's sad that so many commenting on this article are reading-impaired. Several have commented on how they think the vehicle is ill-timed and will not sell well for Ford.
At the same time, right alongside this article is a link to another Jalopnik article from August 12th which states that Ford has already had 1,500 orders placed which maxes the capacity of the 5.4L engine production prior to 6.2L availability. The majority of those orders were through a pre-order program.
I have a feeling Ford will do just fine with this truck and have no issues selling out their initial production. Especially when it's only a $2,900 walk ($4,900 for the 6.2L) from a stock F-150 FX4 - and they manage to sell thousands of those every month!
