In order to relocate from Austin to Washington, D.C., my lovely fiancée and I recently had the extreme pleasure of spending two-and-a-half days driving across this great nation of ours in a Ford E-350 Super Duty moving truck with all of our furniture and a multitude of boxes in the back.

Driving drunk is always a bad idea, but as one Florida man found out Thursday night bringing your illegal exotic pet along for your intoxicated joy ride is a great way to make a bad situation significantly worse.

The truckish rat rod started out as a California avocado-getter, but now it's packing a 400-hp Powerstroke diesel from a Ford F-350, producing 700 lb-ft of cranking force. It's also a horror flick waiting to happen. John Carpenter's Face Twister: Torque of Madness, perhaps.

Next week, on March 9th, Ford will unveil the 2013 Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup. And here it is, a week early, teasing us dressed as an evil ghost. Oh, it's not a ghost? Well, in that case... Lord Vader, your foreman's new truck is ready.

If cars are phallically measured by Nürburgring lap times, then Colorado's Eisenhower Pass is the Nürburgring of pickup trucks. And Chevy's new heavy-hauler just beat the crap out of a higher-powered new Ford Super Duty there. Aww, snap! [PickupTrucks]

The 2011 Ford Super Duty's a gamble. Ford's newest heavy hauler abandons the well-known Navistar-supplied Powerstroke diesel for a brand new all-Ford designed powerplant supposedly delivering monstrous power, squeaky-clean emissions, better fuel economy and the same price. Seems suspiciously impressive.
