What makes cars art is the simple fact that they are functional machines that look good. Same with guns (egad!), kitchen appliances, electronics, even lawnmowers. To take it out of its element and expect it to be beautiful is a joke.

@Timtoolman, now with power tools!: I agree with your definition of art, though I can't say as I've ever seen a gun, a blender, and PSP, or a lawnmower as a work of art.

Might want to mention Steve's own website.

Also check out the custom car he built out of a '96 Grand Marquis and parts from some 50 classic cars, its called the "Marquis de Soto"

Wow- the term "art" used correctly.

No one threw dung at the Virgin Mary, no one desecrated another's god. I don't see any bodily fluids.
I mean, you could argue 2 girls 1 cup is performance art, but c'mon.

    Just awesome. Keep it up.

Yeah, I passed by this guys yard a few years ago and I still don't know how to express my feelings for it.

@Z71: Some guys hit puberty at the height of Sandra Bullock's career. Or Cheryl Tiegs. Or Farrah Fawcett. For me, it was Adriana Lima. In fact, I may have hit puberty a little early thanks to a picture I saw of her way back in 1998, when she was still a relative newcomer to the modeling scene. As such, she will always hold a special place in my heart. And my fantasies.

It's all fun and games until someone emerges from the bomb shelter they've been in since the Bay of Pigs and observes two things:

    1) That the flying cars everyone predicted would be invented by the year 2000 actually were produced.

    2) That there seems to have been a terrible flying car accident in this gentleman's yard.
