    @Leeeeena, a Jalopchick: Our main problem is that Brazilians don't/can't complain while they're been stabbed by the dealers and manufacturers and the taxes. An example: a Civic Si costs R$100,000 (US$50k today). Recently Mexico and Brazil made an alliance and Mexican made cars are now exempt of importation taxes. A Ford Fusion SEL V6 with AWD is now costing the same 100k after all the shipping and shit. And the Civic is manufactured here. We're double screwed. The "domestics" are overpriced and the imports are overtaxed. The worst case is the VW Fox: it's manufactured here, it's crappy and we pay more for them than the Euro version which is better and made in the same plant.

    @Syrax - Official Unfunny Commenter: That really sucks. I just checked on prices of a few Ferraris in China, and found that a new 612 Scaglietti goes for 6.4 million yuan, or $937k. Even an F430 will run you $600k. For a communistical country, China certainly finds ways to eke money out of their super-wealthy.

    One time I got a door ding not 2 hours after buying a new car. Of course it was a 1995 Sunfire GT, so my pain was not nearly as bad as this.....


    On the other hand, after having owned that car for 4 years, I wish it would have burned up instead.

    It's the "bought new" part I can't get over here.


    For the cash (unless that was like a 75% off discount), there must've been better options.


    Rest assured, I've made my fair share of awful vehicle decisions as well...live and learn, I guess.
