    Personally it seems a bit more function over form.. kind of an anti-ferrari.. and well.. more.. german.


    That and it wears a stupid grin..

    Modern Ferraris do little for me, aesthetically. This one included. I have to go back to the 355 to find a Ferrari that I really like, and among GTs, I have to go back quite a bit further. At least to the 365, or better yet, the 250GT.


    That's not to say that I wouldn't take one if given to me.

    I'll fire this car down the highway, occasionally pulling over for smokey burnouts,while eating a cheeseburger, smoking a cigar, and drinking the real Coca-Cola (the one made with sugar, not HFCS), the snort from throttle blips will startle other drivers as I drive really slow in the ultra-fast lane.

    @Plecostomus needs GALVANIZED SCREWS: I can see how you could argue the same kind of shape, but the lines on this are way sexier than the Nissan. Maybe I just haven't had enough to drink yet, but I don't give 350's or 370's a second glance when I see one, but this would get my attention.

    @pauljones: sorry, but to me a One-77 looks like a DBS with a glandular problem. Or the bumper designers and the fender designers missed a meeting and said, Eff-it. Build it anyway.

    Make no mistake, I would take the DBS as my first choice every time. It is, quite simply, the GT car of our times. My only slight (and very, very, very, slight at that) nitpick is that the 599 handily outguns it. Which is where the One-77 would step in, bitch slap the 599, and tell Italy to stick with making its trains run on time.

    I really want one. The interior is luxurious, the engine is powerful, and the Prancing Horse is shining brightly. With a tuned suspension, everything gets better. You haters can hate all you want, but this is a kickass GT.

    @Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: It may be is great GT but what's that get you if the best looking part of it is under the bonnett? I've never really liked the way this car looks, the 550 and 575 Maranello were much more handsome IMO.

    I remember back when this car first came out I read the review in Car and Driver, back before I came across Jalopnik and I still got my fix from car magazines. The author remarked that the buttresses were useful for skitching.


    This is quite an amazing car. Kinda like a high-end Italian Corvette, or a throwback to the amazing front V12 touring cars from the 60s and 70s.
