Derek Who? ]]> Yeah, John Neff and I ended up seriously having a conversation and this Derek D kid just tried to bust right in. Some people. Anyway, neither of us bothered enough to give him the time of day, but look, his people at this Fast Line (or something) Daily totally caught it all on camera — check it out about 5:25 minutes in. It's right after the cameo from Richard of SuperCars.net.

<![CDATA[ Fast Lane Daily Talks Nano, GT-R, Viper and M6 Race Car ]]> In today's Fast lane Daily, Derek D recaps the unveil of the Tata Nano, Nissan's new GT-R GT500, and dishes some gossip about Cerberus possibly forcing the demise of the Dodge Viper. Then we switch over to some nice video footage from Garage419.com showing off the baddest M6 we've ever seen. A full tube frame, all carbon fiber body, and a Daytona series E39 M5 engine combine to form Voltron a really kick ass track star. We apologize for the woeful lack of cowbell.

<![CDATA[ Wert Hosts Fast Lane Daily, Wonders Who This "Derek D" Is ]]>
Our fearless big boss man took another shot in front of the green screen this morning, hosting everyone's not at all favorite three-minute auto web auto show — Fast Lane Daily. What can he say — the man's got to eat, right? Check out his spot-on choices for content including but not limited to the new Corvette ZR1, the new SLR McLaren and his butchering of Japanese pronunciation. Also, Wert asks the question on everyone's mind — but you'll have to wait until the end to see it.

<![CDATA[ Fast Lane Daily Claims No Widespread Hybrid Adoption By Porsche ]]>
The crew that provides Lanes as Fast and Daily as possible is reporting on a rumor that Porsche will not be taking the technology from its Cayenne Hybrid, due out around 2010, and applying it to the Panamera executive sports sedan. This is due mostly to the fact that Porsche is pessimistic about the market for hybrids in America. Oh, and we also found out that even photos of beer and sausage make us hungry. [Fast Lane Daily]

<![CDATA[ I Needed The Dues: Wert Does Fast Lane Daily ]]>
OK, so I needed the dues and what better way to put some cheddar in my pocket than by selling out graciously accepting an invitation to guest host today's episode from the car show on the Lane that's Fast on a Daily basis. You can barely tell it, but I'm wearing a "Decepticon" t-shirt. Because, ya know, that's how I roll. Apparently I also roll needing a haircut. Enjoy the video of me re-hashing the news from yesterday — just so at least one of us did.

<![CDATA[ Fast Lane Daily Has A Bit Of A SEMA-ture Ejaculation With Chip Foose ]]>
Ashley Van Dyke over at the Lane that's Fast and Daily had a chit-chat today with Chip Foose where she doesn't even ask him what his promotional gameplan for Foosical: The Musical will be. Today's episode also includes a interview of Alex Zanardi by a man who's head is bald like a Gumball, has a last name of Roy and didn't play goalie for Montreal.

<![CDATA[ Fast Lane Daily Interviews Rap Star And His Car ]]>
Aww, shoot, it's Fast Lane Daily and they got themselves an exclusive interview with some guy named "Fiddy" or "50" or something. And look, he's got himself a special-ed Pontiac G6. Err...that's Special Edition.

<![CDATA[ Fast Lane Daily...Co-Hosted By Oksana Baiul? ]]>
Look, it's Olympic gold medal winner Oksana Baiul co-hosting the three-minute daily car show, Fast Lane Daily. She's going to talk about cars. Why? Who knows! But hey, you know, it's nice to see the Fast Lane Daily kids getting out from the front of a green screen and out in front of Tavern on the Green, especially with a background that includes some real live cars. But wow, Oksana Baiul? Don't even get us started on the ESL issues this episode's got going on. Whose idea was this?

<![CDATA[ Fast Lane Daily Makes Our Heart Beat Faster ]]>
The three-minute show all about spending each Day living life in the Fast Lane appears to have a new host for us to pick on. For starters — there's no doubt she's much better looking than Spinelli. We're a lot more happy with this young lass at the anchor's helm than we were with that guy with the gloves. To be honest, we're still not sure what's up with that Derek D kid. At least he's able to make a funny commercial. True, that may have actually been him not playing a role — but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt. [via Fast Lane Daily]

<![CDATA[ The Lane Taken Daily That Is Fast Totally Hearts Jalopnik Commenters ]]>

We've always said we've got the smartest commenters in the automotive blogosphere. OK, we've never explicitly said it — but we've totally thought it and — like — insinuated it a couple of times. But whatevs, now some little daily auto show seen by countless dozens of people agrees with us in their coverage of our coverage (how totally meta is that?) of the Gumball 3000. Check it out — maybe you're now a movie YouTube star too. Hell, maybe we'll even do a round of the drinking game on it next time there's a terribly tragic automotive story y'all are commenting on...eek, that sounded rather insensitive, didn't it?

<![CDATA[ Oh No, Who's That? Spinelli Does Fast Lane Daily ]]>

Yep, he's done it. Though slightly disoriented by all the bright lights, wisecracking production jamokes and fluffers, Spinelli stepped in front of the camera lens and into the hearts of the viewing public. That's right, he's gone and hosted an episode of Next New Networks' "Fast Lane Daily," a three-minute car news show that runs on Fastlanedaily.com, YouTube and other video outlets. Though it was what we in the business call a spectacularly light news day, Spinelli performed with the poise and polish of a deer in the glow of a laser sight. Feel free to leave glowing comments, however, as he really is the next Laser Kid. You can start referring to him as "America's Sweetheart" any time now.
