Yeah, John Neff and I ended up seriously having a conversation and this Derek D kid just tried to bust right in. Some people. Anyway, neither of us bothered enough to give him the time of day, but look, his people at this Fast Line (or something) Daily totally caught it all on camera — check it out about 5:25 minutes in. It's right after the cameo from Richard of SuperCars.net.

In today's Fast lane Daily, Derek D recaps the unveil of the Tata Nano, Nissan's new GT-R GT500, and dishes some gossip about Cerberus possibly forcing the demise of the Dodge Viper. Then we switch over to some nice video footage from Garage419.com showing off the baddest M6 we've ever seen. A full tube frame, all carbon fiber body, and a Daytona series E39 M5 engine combine to form ~~Voltron~~ a really kick ass track star. We apologize for the woeful lack of cowbell.

What can he say — the man's got to eat, right? Fast Lane Daily Claims No Widespread Hybrid Adoption By Porsche

The crew that provides Lanes as Fast and Daily as possible is reporting on a rumor that Porsche will not be taking the technology from its Cayenne Hybrid, due out around 2010, and applying it to the Panamera executive sports sedan. OK, so I needed the dues and what better way to put some cheddar in my pocket than by ~~selling out~~ graciously accepting an invitation to guest host today's episode from the car show on the Lane that's Fast on a Daily basis. You can barely tell it, but I'm wearing a "Decepticon" t-shirt. Because, ya know, that's how I roll. Apparently I also roll needing a haircut. But hey, you know, it's nice to see the Fast Lane Daily kids getting out from the front of a green screen and out in front of Tavern on the Green, especially with a background that includes some real live cars. But wow, Oksana Baiul? Don't even get us started on the ESL issues this episode's got going on. Whose idea was this?

The three-minute show all about spending each Day living life in the Fast Lane appears to have a new host for us to pick on. For starters — there's no doubt she's much better looking than Spinelli. We're a lot more happy with this young lass at the anchor's helm than we were with that guy with the gloves. To be honest, we're still not sure what's up with that Derek D kid. But whatevs, now some little daily auto show seen by countless dozens of people agrees with us in their coverage of our coverage (how totally meta is that?) of the Gumball 3000. Oh No, Who's That? Spinelli Does Fast Lane Daily

Yep, he's done it. Though slightly disoriented by all the bright lights, wisecracking production jamokes and fluffers, Spinelli stepped in front of the camera lens and into the hearts of the viewing public. That's right, he's gone and hosted an episode of Next New Networks' "Fast Lane Daily," a three-minute car news show that runs on Fastlanedaily.com, YouTube and other video outlets. Though it was what we in the business call a spectacularly light news day, Spinelli performed with the poise and polish of a deer in the glow of a laser sight. Feel free to leave glowing comments, however, as he really is the next Laser Kid. You can start referring to him as "America's Sweetheart" any time now.
