There is no question, Block is the man, but I can't help noticing all of the skid marks already on the ground in his videos, i.e. multiple takes for one drift.

This is how we do it, one shot, one take, for the trophy, and pick up the win:

@Krider-Racing: It's tough to say. I'm pretty sure his last actual gymkhana video was shot with minimal takes.

@MadcowsDiseased: Copy that. I guess I referring to #1 or #2, especially #2. Either way, Block still pulls off some amazine crap. You'll notice there are no large concrete walls where we drifted the Bullitt Mustang. Block has balls a plenty (or Subarus a plenty). Either one.

@Krider-Racing: He's also doing it for video so I've got to wonder how many takes the guys shooting it wanted. He could have pulled it off in one but the camera guy wasn't happy with the angle, or the lighting, or whatever... so he had to do it again, and again, and again...

@Krider-Racing: Yeah, I have a feeling krider racing is a bit more worried of smashing their cars than ken block is. The mustang footage looked fun, and very clean! Nice control!

How do I do what I do for a living while they do that? Damn it - I went to college!

Pretty impressive. I have to admit, I'd not trust what skeelz I have in the presence of either of these two guys.

They obviously can put a car in place "X", at time "Y", at speed "Z", repeatedly with a small margin of error.

I'm happy I can get equidistant from the lines in my parking space, daily.

I have to admit, when I drove a bus back in college, it was fun to occasionally intentionally get it into spaces, with passengers aboard, where there was a concrete wall not four inches from the passenger window glass. It'd freak 'em out pretty good, which made me smirk.

@she said, yeah?: Sure, you might have managed to get it in, but how did you manage to get the bus back out of spaces like that?

@BaconSandwich: You back 'em in so you can get it out. It's a space which has only one entry/exit point, typically.

You'd be surprised how easy they can be to parallel park, if you're good at it.

Tip: Bachelorette parties aren't as enjoyable as you'd think...

@she said, yeah?: I used to play 'how close can you get to the concrete construction barrier'. Which was a decent game until I started getting good at it.

Fun. But I can't stand how Block's Subie sounds like a broken lawnmower.

@alowishus finally has his Miata: if my lawnmower sounded (and drove) like that, i'd be mowing the lawn every day.

Cool. Gotta love the way that the video starts with the Japanese game show music, transitions into engine sounds, then to Benny Hill, back to engines, then back to Japanese Game show, and then into the music that I think I heard at a strip club a few months ago- not that I actually go to such places for entertainment (lowers head).
