These are the same guys that did the Reactor Mustang; a '67 resto-mod. I've seen that car at a couple of local car shows, and it is amazing in the detail that was put into it. The only detractor, in my opinion, was that it was a Mustang. Like the Camaro, the Mustang has been way over done, and no matter what modders do to them, they still don't stand out.

But this Fairlane... Now they need to do the same with a wagon! #fairlane

Very nicely done, interesting take on the rear especially. So, Ben, I'm an old fogey and I'm not enraged by this customization....so either the car's not that over the top or I'm not so over the hill.

Now get off my lawn. And take that carbon fiber monster with you! #fairlane

My guess is that it's both.

Yes, there's plenty of modern parts on there, but the overall style still has a that look to it.

    Definitely like it. #fairlane

This poor car has a case of billet diarrhea. The craftsmanship isn't in question here by a long shot but someone should tell the Ring Brothers that the billet fad dropped off many years ago. #fairlane

I'm not a Ford fan, but I have to admit, I like it.

    Restomoddedrod.

When I manage to afford the right 50's-60's land-yacht, I intend to put a maxi-engine in it with proper suspension/brakes, and to keep the interior as stock-looking as possible, yet with nice things like modern tunes/air-conditioning/etc.

Fortunately, the 1968 Chrysler 300 convertible I used to pass, daily, found a new home, 'cause I almost stopped to ask about the price a few times per week. #fairlane

I could spend a long time staring at that engine bay. Beautiful, clean work all around-would love to see it in the flesh.

However, to really piss off a 'purist', you need to show up at a Porsche meet in a 356 Outlaw. Oh, the humanity! #fairlane

@snapoversteer 'bout to get told: My thoughts exactly. Like the handles and gas cover on the 350z, makes an otherwise great looking car look cheap.
On something as modded as this it truly makes it look like plastic to me. #fairlane

It's cool, but it's also it's based on a two-door sedan rather than the hardtop coupe. The sedan may be a little lighter and more rigid (good for performance) but it's low on style. #fairlane

Great car to start with. Then a breathed on 427 for good measure. Don't really need the non-functional, faux stick ons.

Only slightly disappointed that it doesn't include an actual afterburner. #fairlane

Ring Brother's. That is about 15 miles from my Shop. Great bunch of guys, great builders. They have some very well done cars. Price wise they are at the very top of the food chain when it comes to show cars. Nothing is held back.

Last I chatted with them the '69 Camaro they built was over $400K and had 28 miles on it.

If I remember right the last two cars they built won back to back National Good Guys Car Show awards.

@lilwillie: I was wondering about roughly how many $$$ went into something like this. Although you cite their Camaro, I can certainly believe that somewhere around $400K went into this magnificent creation. #fairlane

    @SlowMo (actually, there's no E on my R):

I'd guess that for sure. I know the first Camaro they did, that got them a lot of magazine time. It was Canary Yellow and sported a FI BBC. I think that went around 60K or so. At least that was the rumor. From there they went back to their roots, which is Ford, the "Reactor" '67 Mustang was the blow out car for them. They still show that ride. The "Razor" '69 Camaro is still shown by them also, and they've made changes to it. Hood has been opened up a bunch. I did talk about the tail lights they sell for the '69 Camaro. $3,000 for a set. I about shit myself. I felt a little small as a builder looking at their Camaro and my own.

Even though they build Big $$$$ cars the owners are nice guys and love to talk cars to anyone no matter the style of money involved. #fairlane
