How many LEDs are too much?

Is that dude wearing a waiter's coat and a Batman belt buckle? There's so much about Haute Couture I don't understand.

@Graverobber: I had a Batman belt buckle when I was 9. I wore that everyday. I was so fucking cool in 5th grade.

My eyes started to cross about halfway down the description. When they started bragging about how incredibly complex their horsepiss-injected exhaust breathing diesel is, I was looking for some amazing punchline like 40MPG. 26? So What. My little brother's ten year old Ford 3/4 ton 4X4 diesel gets better than that, and is three times the truck. I'm not impressed. And, someone over there in Shanghai ought to buy that poor girl a cheeseburger. She looks like she hasn't eaten in days.

@CptSevere: I'm not impressed either. It is ridiculously heavy and has alot more on the inside than the Ford, but still...a work truck should never be more efficient than a luxury SUV...in my head.

I didn't know piss brown was the new black. What color will be next? I hope it's magenta.

A few more LEDs and you'll have about the perfect tall wagon. Or shorty minivan. Too bad they won't call it that.

I like Audi, but you'd think European manufacturers would want to work a little bit harder on AFFORDABLE 50-state-legal diesel cars, rather than building efficient cars for people who don't need them, then getting all gung-ho with the rhinestone gun on the lights.

I do like the female booth professional, with her human genome sash. As for the guy, KIDS SHOULD BE IN SCHOOL.

@bmoreDLJ: Check this out--the same VW tdi engine that goes into the Jetta...when put into the Passat or Tiguan, it goes JUST over the limit on emissions, requiring the addition of urea filtration (which the Jetta/Golf doesn't need). VW decided this added too much complexity and cost at those vehicles' price points, so they didn't do it.

Not 100% sure on the order of events, but it's what I gleaned from reading tdiclub.com a lot.

Yay for diesel. Too bad I don't really care about this car.

And who thought that color was a good idea? Seriously!!

And the LED light treatment appears to continue... I'm not sure it's such a good idea to make a complete [ shape with the things. It's like they needed [ HEADLIGHT ] tags for it to work.

So who decides if a press release should go into the box or not?

Re: the Q7, I guess 26.4 mpg is pretty good, but from a relatively small TDI, I still somehow expected better. Meh. I guess I'm just a snob for cars.
