    While not defending the X5 driver in any way, my wife used to do something remotely similar while parking that she said she learned in Driver's Ed. She said the Instructor told them that the car turns sharper under power (because of the differential), so a little gas right at the end of the parking maneuver will help get your big-ass SUV squarely in the too-tiny parking spot easier. The first few times she did this, I nearly jumped out the window, fearing something exactly like this was about to happen. When she told me why she did it, I said, "Forget everything that guy taught you, and don't ever do that again".

    Was this video filmed in Scottsdale, AZ? If it was I think we can find one of the culprits. #bmwx5

    Good for Hyundai. I bet that buys a fair bit of customer loyalty, and makes others think that the company cares about their customers. Best and cheapest advertising they could have.

    Personally, I'd rather get a car that an X5 can't crush so easily. #bmwx5

    @CptSevere: Agreed. Contrary to many here that think it was solely a publicity stunt (and part of it certainly was), I think it was more of a "Don't be scared to drive a small car, even an ass-hat like this wouldn't kill you".... #bmwx5

    @coupeZ600: Yeah, sure it was a publicity stunt, but what the hell, it did some good, and I'll bet that the person who got his car replaced is glad for it. Nothing wrong with positive publicity when a corporation does a good thing. Nothing wrong here at all. Good karma. #bmwx5

    Yeah, It's not like anything a large company does is going to be anything but a PR stunt. That being said, this is the first of heard of it, so it's not like they're milking it.
