Everyone dreams of buying that childhood dream car for cheap on Craigslist through the magical power of depreciation. But as we’ve seen time and time again, purchase price is only one small part of the equation.
I posted this video a few months ago, and for the first time in the history of the internet, I received a truly productive YouTube comment:
All you hear is the squealing of the tires. There's no straight six in EV West's 1995 M3, set to run at this year's Pikes Peak, just a 420 horsepower all-electric drivetrain.
While venerated, BMW's E30 M3 did lack certain features possessed by its later, and better performing, brethren. Today's Nice Price or Crack Pipe E36 for example offers both a drop top and an. . . automatic transmission. Will that second item guarantee its price needs to down along with the top?
This E36 BMW M3 passenger's Match.com profile reads: "Likes: burnouts, Bimmers, donuts on video. Dislikes: seatbelts, closed doors, and being thrown from my car." Thankfully, the man seems okay after being G-jected from his seat. (H/T to Steve!)
