DUB Edition Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger, Please Make It Stop

Sweet quarts of Pennzoil, why must every automaker jump on bandwagons they have no business being on? Chrysler, the reason people put DUB wheels and parts on their cars is to be unique and stand out from the crowd. By partnering with DUB for the 2008 DUB Edition Chrysler 300 Touring and 2008 DUB Edition Dodge Charger SXT, you're missing the point. Now you have two underpowered cars, with largely unremarkable styling, and overblown Kicker sound systems that will be replaced anyway. Has everyone at Chryslerberus taken crazy pills?

Chicago Auto Show: Dub Magazine Turns Chryslers Into Pentabortions

Dub Magazine, a publication known for highlighting the understated beauty of lightly customized automobiles, set up a display of lowered Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler vehicles made even odder looking with the addition of ridiculous rims. While it almost works on some vehicles, like the already chromey Chrysler 300 and Pepsi-vending Dodge Nitro, there are some vehicles that cannot be saved by anything short of explosives. An example of this is the maroon dubdubbed Chrysler Sebring with matching maroon wheels, or as we call it, the Pentabortion.

If the Mopar-built Dodge Avenger concept we showed you earlier is named "Stormtrooper," then this here DUB edition Dodge Caliber is most assuredly "Stormtrooper Jr." Or, "Mini Stormtrooper" if you will. SEMA Preview: The General's Going To Have More Than This Threesome For Vegas

The boys over in the General's aftermarket dungeons must have been working mad overtime hours this year, as the plan appears to be for them to throw down twenty-seven vehicles on display in the General's SEMA booth — including 14 Chevrolets; two Cadillacs; four GMCs; two HUMMER H3s; two Pontiac Solstices; two Saturns; one Buick Lucerne partner vehicle and a partridge in a pear tree. It appears DUB magazine thinks the Buick Lucerne could be the next Chrysler 300C, considering they've applied the time-honored DUBification process to one of Buick's new ships. The DUB edition Lucerne has the typical black paint, 20-something" rims and an AV setup that'd make a middle-school geek spit his retainer. Dub Edition Cadillac Escalade to Debut in Detroit

Dub magazine, media juggernaut and urban-ride tastemaker, released images of its newest DUB Edition vehicle, based on the redesigned 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The GM-bred icon of ghetto fabulosity was built for the extra-urban Travis Barker, drummer of Blink-182 and star of MTV's reality show "Meet the Barkers." No other details were released, but Barker will appear at the Detroit show next week to unveil the trick truck. More »
