I'd probably just end up with one or two nice daily drivers, something along the lines of a newish, but not new, Vette or BMW 3 or 5 series and a yard full of projects in various states of repair/dis-repair. Realistic dream, have the cash to throw away kind of thing, go to the dealership and order a brand new Corvette EXACTLY the way I want it, either a ZR1 or Z06.

Complete FU money: Bristol Fighter T or Bugatti Royale, and the 747 to haul them around. Pete, if you are going to dream, dream big and skip the Gulfstream.

-- '59 El Camino with flames, 5-spoke Cragers and lake pipes

-- mint '71 DS Pallas

-- Merlin Newsboy or Mountain Goat F-K-R

-- loaded '09 BMW R1200GS with Jesse bags and Ohlins shocks

Imperial- there is no other choice.
Rather than the pimptastic pink fabric though, obviously it'd have to be bottle-green leather..

Also, '57 DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman, '69 Dart GTS, '72 Fury Sports Suburban, '69 Chrysler Valiant ute, and a '59 Dodge Sweptside Powerwagon, '67 Charger R/T, '61 Valiant Signet, et cetera et cetera...

If we're thinking modestly here, how 'bout a 1st gen. MR2 with a 20-valve engine?

Or maybe a V8olvo wagon, if I want something "practical."

Thinking slightly less modestly, I'd love to build some kind of Lotus Seven replica,

or maybe a street legal Legends car for when it rains.

Then again, I'd love to make a traditional hot rod from a Ford Model A or Model B:

In the halcyon days when I was a) employed and b) playing the Lotto semi-regularly I would tell co-workers to watch for the day I arrived to work in a black Hummer. In those days, the Hummer in question was understood to be an H1.

That would also be the day I announced my presence by providing Tanqueray & tonics to everyone in the office.

Mine will probably be a huge medium-duty truck based RV tow rig.

...which I will use to tow my many toys around.

Before that, any expensive fancy sports car just means you're still slaving for the man. S5? pffft. Too much compromise.

Those who've truly made it have a ride for every need: a Rolls to cruise in and an Atom to play in.

45 years ago, it'd be a Cadillac, Continental, Riviera, T-Bird or Stingray. Prestige cars were so much cooler then.

Now...an E-Class or 5-Series? Meh. It's just not the same.
