My parents buying their first car with power windows.

Mom: "That's just one more thing to go wrong. What happens when the switch breaks?"

Dad: "What happens when a trash bag full of camel shit falls from the sky? I'll bet you'll wish you had power windows then."

I think he might have been a little stoned.

Looks too much like the back end of a garbage truck in action. Back away from the car slowly. Don't make any sudden moves.

The designers were clever enough to employ the passengers to absorb side impacts.... Cool and dangerous = Hardcore.

Even cooler:- Take the roof off as well and have the first ever Lincoln Mk8 Moke.

Doesn't look so good on a sedan/saloon compared with the BMW Z1...

@layabout: The Lincoln in question is actually a coupe.

@racerx: The proportions are more that of a sedan/saloon when you see the whole car on side profile. True coupe's usually mean having to tilt the front seat forward to gain access to the back seats, this allows access without moving the front seats,so it's more in the style of a saloon with a novelty door.

@layabout: As much as I like the Z1, I'll have to disagree. My love of the Z1 for its novelty and its sportiness doesn't cloud my perception to think that it looks better than the Mark 8.

Even though I've never been a big fan of the Lincoln, it has more continuity in design than the Z1.

So, to sum up, the Lincoln is a cleaner design, and looks "better" than the BMW, but I'd still rather have the Z1.

Things don't always have to make sense.

@smalleyxb122: Nothing in the car world makes sense,we're all fixated on these unreliable, depreciating lumps of metal. There will never be a car that we all agree on,there will never be the best car ever. Would i change it? Not a chance!

@A strolling player, now with 100% more Studebaker!: Sorry, but i think there'e something very cool about the Avantime, not sure i'd buy one,but cool.

@rlj676-new job, same problems: The Z1 is a strange car,i disliked it when new,but over time its quirkiness has grown on me,especially as for a while BMW lost their way a little.

@layabout: The Lincoln in question isn't actually a bad-looking car:

Oh wait, you guys agreed to disagree and moved on? Well, shucks.

That Z1 you posted looks the sex. I wish I had one in America just for the novelty factor.

@Stuntdriver: top gear quotes don't make you funny or clever. they just show that you watch tv and can remember. that is something a 4 year can do.

    @boofighter:

Ouch! Watch out with that, or you'll nullify 90% of the COTD's. Which are mainly bad puns (somewhat trite), movie quotes (worse), or song lyrics (the worst.)
