Can I suggest that the Prius be banned from Jalopnik? While your at it ban all commentor references to it. No more saying "It looks like a Prius!". And ban anyone who breaks the ban on all things Prius rule.

@gdfowler: Yes, yes! Let's ban all things which you do not personally approve of. While we're at it, let's change the name of the site to GDFowlernik.com and give you absolute control over who can and cannot comment. Or better yet, why don't you just go away, since you apparently don't like it here? Or better yet even, why don't you start you own blog so the true enthusiasts can stay away in droves?

I wasn't serious about banning Prius, or people who discussed it. That wouldn't even make sense. It was supposed to be a joke. I didn't mean to offend anyone. If I did, I apologize.

Blasting on someone for occasional spelling and grammar errors, that's different.

@gdfowler: Apparently, your sarcasm went right past, my apologies. I just get tired of reading comments where people bitch and whine about being "forced" to read things that don't appeal to them, and how those things should not be covered at all. Not to mention that it was pretty deep into the wee hours and a bottle of wine.

I really don't see any "design". And it looks like stylists mistook redesign as facelift and they accidentally used Nissan cues.

Lazy evolution. Swoopy cabin's been done. New for the sake of new. No more.

I wonder how much of the thought that goes into perfecting aerodynamic flow on a car like this becomes moot when driving in a stiff crosswind.

But, the side profile will affect how much you'll have to steer into the wind to keep going straight.

Still has an external antenna. Still has a full-size pax mirror. Still has non-flush door handles. Still has open-faced wheels. Still lacks rear wheel fairing.

I like it a lot better, but I have to look at this thing like an armchair engineer or Ecomodder, not as an enthusiast. I'm betting the above could get you another 0.1, if not more!

@Ash78: You have a point with the door handles and wheels but, if done correctly, that antenna can be very slippery on the centerline axis.

@joshman: Yeah, the antenna's effect is probably infinitesimally small, but it just seems an odd choice when in-glass antennae have been around for 30 years or so. I'd see it more as a "no compromise" image management thing than an actual Cd improvement.
