Maybe this guy I work with can call in and complain about his crappy Ford Focus.

And then there's also the guy at work with the Mustang convertible with all the squeaks and rattles that have never been fixed by his Ford dealer, he'd like to call in as well.

Is there such a thing as a happy Ford customer?

@jduffy13: I've honestly never had any problems with any of my Ford vehicles (except for my Land Rover, but I don't count that).

My Mustang convertible did squeak, but I think they all do.

The rest of the time it's "LOL BIG 3 R TEH SUXXOrS!!".

I suspect his family was killed by a Chevy...or maybe he was abandoned as an infant and raised by Toyotas.

Dennis Kneale is an ignorant bastard though, even if you show him you're right, he'll go back to his old ways when you leave.

Friends, ya know, I too get wound up over the excessive dumbassery of TV pundits. I have not watched the CNBC clip posted and will not because I'm having a decent day and do not want it ruined.

But, when I do read or see something so upsetting in its unabashed ignorance, I spend four short minutes and my paradigm is shifted into a most wonderful place.

Yes, it's more than a little dippy but is mesmerizing and mood-shifting, something we all need now and then:

What the fuck is an iPod? What the fuck is a Dennis Kneale? Why should I care about any of these things?

I have no idea what these people are ranting about.

Wait, when they say "ipod jack," I take that to mean a proprietary Apple jack that allows for ipod controls throught the vehicle's head unit.

An Aux input is more universal, but doesn't allow for control interface. I like these better because, well, despite being an Apple shareholder, I'm a much bigger fan of the cheaper, less functional mp3 players from Sandisk and others. If you're chasing soon-obsolete tech, might as well hedge your financial bets.

So are they actually using these terms interchangeably?

@Ash78: Most likely. To the average layperson anything that gets the music from their magic tuney pack into the car stereo is an "iPod jack".

I agree with you that dedicated iPod interfaces are a bad idea as far as compatibility goes, hell not even all iPods are compatible with 'em.

OEM stereos with every option that everyone wants would supersede the need for an aftermarket.

What do you have against the line workers at Pioneer, Dennis? How do you expect them to feed their families? Across the country children are starving because OEMs are including $0.10 iPod jacks. Won't somebody think of the children?

If I hear, one more time, American car companies don't build cars American want, I'm going to go nuts!

    Sales(YTD):

    1. GM

    2. Toyota

    3. Ford

    4. Chrysler

    5. Honda

Attention media types(present company excepted): do some research. I know you, and politicians are too lazy, but try it. Just for once.

@chucky2jimmy: The problem is not what Americans buy, it is what the rest of the world buys... and it ain't American.

The US market is becoming less and less important, and we're just at the beginning of this tendency.

I hate people who talk out of their asses...None of these people actually thought about what they were gonna say regarding the facts they spoke on American cars. I wanna slap them all. This pisses me off so much. Kneale... GO FUCK YOUSELF AND THE OTHERS IN THIS VIDEO. You guys are the god damn media. If I'm more informed on the issues your talking about than you there's a problem. This is half the problem automakers face (products aside.. i'm simply talking principles here) You have people telling the public these cars are crap when they know nothing about them, nor have been in them or driven them. There was one point in the video where he even says Detroit doesn't make cars that are fun? Really are you that retarded. Look I'm all for buying what you want, American or otherwise. But if you are going to talk about a topic make sure you actually know what the fuck your talking about.

Sorry for the rant and the cursing guys.. videos like this really get me annoyed and want to actually get interviewed by these people so i can show the facts right up their asses (assuming I can manage to pull their heads out first)
