I'm waiting for the commercial that riffs on the old littering commercials. A hillbilly wandering through a deserted demo arena... walking down the street as an endless parade of new cars, stickers still in the windows roll past... Then a hauler loaded with old cars goes past, he turns to the camera, we see a single tear roll down his face. Then he takes a big drink out of his mason jar of hooch, and we get the 1-800 number for the National Demolition Recovery & Support System, or some such. #cashforclunkers
@Novaload Misses Murilee: Yes he did. It is common for people to fly off the road in the WRC season. Usually they are fine, unless they hit a tree.
"It was all my fault. I had the corner marked with a double caution, but the night before, I changed it. I have realised you should never change your notes after the recce.
I realised we were going to crash, so I tried to use the Armco to slow the car. But it rolled over it and then it rolled and rolled. I can remember the crashing and the roll cage coming in. I thought: 'We cannot survive this, it's just not stopping.'
When it did stop, I looked to my co-driver Miikka (Anttila) and his eyes were red and full of blood because we had been upside down so many times. After I checked we were okay, I said: 'Maybe this was our last rally.'
I thought I was going to die. It was my biggest accident ever. I have to thank the team and the FIA for saving my life and building such a strong car.
@SirNotAppearing: Michigan rednecks are some of the scariest people out there. The official Michigan uniform is fatigues, a flannel shirt and a firearm. Deliverance has nothing on these guys.
I bet there would be a lot less complaints if this was how the federal car buyback program was to work: Hand over your car, get a big check, watch from the bunker as it's reduced to corn flake sized chips.

Now I need to drive again. I need to move on.
