it's almost as if when approaching the rear of the car he forgot what he was doing and subbed in a Pacer and did I mention it was an UGLY POS
good job for building such an UGLY POS that even the chinese won't try to rip this one off, something GM "could'nt" do
(insert coughing that repetitively sounds like UGLY POS)

This guy may be a cocky bastard, but he's got one more working model than Elon Musk.

Also, your name is amazing. I hope that's written on your car.

That being said, and ignoring his cockiness, I think this is awesome. It's looks great- I know- why wouldn't it? It's a Daytona.
Can we get these electrics to go any faster though? I want to see some 200mph+ electrics that aren't on railroad tracks.

Many of these motors would allow higher speeds if you had the gearing, but since they can usually get the job done without it, they go for the weight savings of not having a transmission.

If you needed to do a lot of 80mph highway cruising (like me), then the added ~200lbs of transmission is probably worth it.
Currently, most EVs are built with in-town travel in mind, given their unsuitability for road trips (range + recharge time).

I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people.
Can't you understand that?
What the hell is wrong with you people!?!?

The best way to go about this, of course, is when battery costs come down: we can just have a pair of 20 or 30-pound battery packs in our car, and one or two more charging in our garage; drive home and swap it out. Or, if we could get our shit together, have it like a propane tank exchange, with manufacturer-universal designs for small cars, large cars, and light trucks.

Since we can't even agree on a common cell phone charging port, I don't see it happening. I do like your idea though, as long as the battery costs are not prohibitive.

I don't see a reason for an in-between.

Dude, good call on the Tango. That thing is weird, but FAST.

I can beat GM in a sandwich-eating contest, and a zeppelin race. Take that!

Anyone else care to start a zeppelin-racing circuit?
I have a feeling it'd be about as exciting as turtles mating. There may need to be some betting involved.

Cadmium, say? Or zinc?
