David Carradine, Dead At Age 72 |

This may explain why I've never even been able to get those damn things to open or close properly--freaks after cheap and potentially deadly thrills.
Sorry. I just really don't understand this kind of "me time." In a hotel. With the risk of death. And an absurd, too-soon ending to an otherwise remarkable life.

I did kill a bystander once though.

That's nothing, I critically injured an entire convention. It was a comic book convention so it was really expected.

As horrible as this may sound, I somehow can't imagine that the guy would have left this world in any less dramatic of a way. I'm not trying to disrespect him in any way. He was just one of those truly awesome guys that helped an entire generation define what it means to be cool. If he had to die, and I'm sorry that he is dead, then it had to be in some unusual, borderline morbidly interesting way. It had to be his own, personal way, as one last symbolic demonstration of the fact that he was in control of his own destiny, not some intangible force.
Goodbye, David Carradine, and God Speed.

If it is true that he commited suicide, that is very sad and unfortunate. I never understand the desire to end one's life. Depression is a seriously scary thing. In a way, I almost hope he was killed, and that they find his killer. Either way, this sure is an unglamorous end to a great career.
