    The cops should be embarrased about the way the guy out-drove them at every step. I thought cops were supposed to be highly trained drivers? I guess not...which is what many of us suspected anyway.


    The real loser is the driver in the pick-up at the end, hopefully that person is not hurt as a result of over-zealous cops and a manic driver. And lets not forget the motorcyclist in the HOV lane.

    @BigRocket: Cops are trained to stay behind the fleeing vehicle until such a time that they can safely disable the vehicle. They are not supposed to be on top of it. This isn't Bullitt.


    Also, why would you call the cops overzealous? They pulled a guy over, and he fled. That gives them cause for chase, end of story.

    @godspunk32: Yeah, but what the hell were they doin' steppin' out into traffic to throw a freakin' spike strip into a road they hadn't blocked off in some fashion? Not only was it a bad throw because the cop had to wait until after the red car and dodge a MOTORCYCLE, but it forced the "bad guy" to swerve and tag that semi. That gets a huge WTF, the cops were freakin' retarded.
