I'm gonan say that this is incredibly tasteful, and dare I say-- way better looking than the factory thing and way better than the concept. It looks like it always should have. I love the return of the chrome.
I love the taillight treatment, too. It breaks up the division lines that show up between the light chambers for each bulb.
That car is class and it now has the proper motivation to move its 4,000+lb heft.
@RamblinReck89: The SMS 570 Challenger will be the first vehicle with a host of aesthetic and functional innovations including the patented SMS Red Butterfly Induction™ hood and a full compliment of SMS ultra-high performance components including: drivetrain, suspension, aerodynamics, tires, wheels and interior
That's the entire extent of any mention of the suspension/tire upgrades. I'd venture a guess that it probably couldn't even keep up with a casual weekend Miata driver in the mountains.
You know, the issue with strapping roller skates and a rocket engine to a fat chick is that while, yes, it'll go fast as hell, getting her to corner or stop is gonna be messy.
@A strolling player, now in British Racing Green!: You're in luck. I couldn't find anything that quite fit my mental image online, so I was going to photoshop something, and then I decided that's way too much effort and I should really be doing my schoolwork instead.
Besides, I'm distracted because I think there are squirrels fucking on the branch right outside my window. Horny lil buggers.
@Leeeeena the Jalopchick: Leena, did you go to the NYC Jalopmeet? I demand to know if you're as randomly hilarious in person or just witty when you've a keyboard in front of you.
@Wankelin' For A Rotary: I'm pretty randomly hilarious in person, mostly thanks to my ADHD. You're especially in luck since I just ran out of Adderall! (I, however, am significantly less in luck because I still have piles of schoolwork to do.)
Sadly, I did not make it to the meet, no thanks to aforementioned schoolwork. >:( I'm planning on going to the NYIAS either on Thursday or Sunday of next week, though, so if you or any other Jalops would like the privilege of basking in the glow of my super awesome wittiness (/self-promoting cynical bastard mode), you are more than welcome to meet us there! I guess the best way to get in touch would be via private message and/or Facebook, if any of you are actually interested.
@engineerd has Ben in his head: The government is only allowing the Challenger at all, because they want Mopar to have at least one exciting car to use in their advertising...
@MOPAR-MAN: But the issue is, the rich tard that could actually afford one of these doesn't know how much better it would handle with 1000lb less weight and ~150 fewer horses...
To me, it has parallels to the whole Altezza tailight things. Just because you can, doesn't mean that it looks good, or that you should. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is be original and keep the original.
wait...so they managed to bump it up to 700hp for $16K? and nissan wants you to pay how much for the spec-v with a boost button that adds 15ft-lbs of torque for 15 seconds?

I think I saw one on a portable parking lot yesterday but I wasn't driving the car and my co-worker thought I was nuts and wouldn't turn around.
Well, we were on the interstate, so that probably was sensible...

First he did with the Saleen Mustang, and now this. It was perfect the way it was, dammit!
I'm not a big fan of the side-facing hood scoop thing, either.

I have to disagree on both cars.
